Born in China, Q was trained in Both China and Japan.
Q's art has evolved from her exposure in the East and life in Western Mass. Her inherited traditions reach back in time to vistas of misty mountains and glimpses of rain-soaked lotuses. Yet, her New England years have infused her with a second nature of maple-lined roads, lichened stone walls and weathered barns. Now she is further on her path of Zen and Taoism. Her lines get simpler and strokes more expressive

Her paintings are shown on WGBY Discovery Channel, and have been acquired by the New Hampshire Institute of Art and hospitals in Boston. Her representing galleries are in the Pioneer Valley, MA, Manchester, VT and Peterborough NH.
She has given seminars at the Art Museum of Smith College, and Norman Rockwell Museum, MA.
